About StreetSignal
A real-time community reporting and mapping platform for understanding street homelessness in Philadelphia.
Why Philadelphia?
Philadelphia is piloting StreetSignal to improve visibility into patterns of unsheltered homelessness and observed need. The platform supports city agencies, outreach teams, and research partners with timely, structured data.
What it does
StreetSignal allows anyone to submit anonymous, structured reports of observed need. Signals appear on a live map with privacy-preserving location fuzzing. Admin and outreach users can filter, analyze, and export data for planning and evaluation.
Who it is for
The platform is designed for city agencies, outreach organizations, service providers, and research partners who need better visibility into community-reported patterns of unsheltered homelessness.
Responsible use
StreetSignal is for observational reporting and pilot data collection. It is not an emergency response system, case management tool, or enforcement platform. Data should be used to support outreach planning and research, with dignity and respect for people experiencing homelessness.
